Here at Khao Lak Scuba Adventures, one of Thailand’s leading PADI 5 Star IDC Centers, we offer a 4 week training program to introduce you to the professional diving world and open up the opportunities of a lifetime.

Khao Lak is a seaside resort town on the West Coast of Thailand. It's the closest point to the Similan Island National Marine Park (one of the top ten divesites of the world).

Khao Lak isn't a party destination. Sure it's got bars and restaurants, but what it's best at, is being a hub for divers and diving. It's a great place to learn. If you are serious about becoming a diving professional, you'll fit right in.

The PADI Divemaster course teaches you to be a leader and take charge of dive activities. Through knowledge development sessions, water-skills exercises and workshops, and hands-on you develop practical assessment, you develop the skills to organise and direct a variety of scuba diving activities.

Working closely with your PADI Instructor, you'll fine-tune your dive skills, like perfecting the effortless hover, and refine your rescue skills so you anticipate and easily solve common problems. You'll gain dive knowledge, management and supervision abilities so you become a role model to divers everywhere.

You'll learn to lead others as you supervise scuba diving activities and assist with diver training.

 
 

As A PADI Professional Divemaster you will be able to:
 

• Work at local dive centers, on live-aboard dive boats world-wide, private yachts or cruise ships at exotic locations.
• Lead certified divers on guided tours
• Assist Instructors with students
• Teach and certify PADI Skin Divers
• Conduct PADI Re-Activate programs and refresher courses
• Live the lifestyle and travel the world!

 

Who can join?

You can join our Divemaster Internship program with any level of dive certification, or even none at all. Join our Divemaster Internship program as a certified Rescue Diver and stay 4 weeks to complete your training, or join as an Open Water Diver and become a true Divemaster in just eight weeks.

If you want even more hands-on experience, stay a couple of weeks extra for even more diving, learning and fun!!!

Prerequisites:

• 18 years old
• Have at least 40 dives to begin the course and 60 for certification
• Be fit for diving and submit a medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months. Download the PADI Medical Statement PDF here.
• Be a certified Rescue Diver
• Emergency First Responder Primary and Secondary Care training within the past 24 months

NOTE: Please let us know if you don’t have the minimum required dives needed to start the Divemaster course and we can assist you with this.
