Khao Lak Scuba Adventures PADI 5 Star IDC Center also offers daily dive trips to the world class dive sites of the Similan Island National Marine Park.

In the morning we will pick you up at your hotel and transfer you to the pier where you will board our comfortable day dive boat. From there you will head to your dive destination for some of the worlds most amazing diving.

The day dive boat offers a comfortable fast transfer to the Similan Islands. Once aboard you will see that our boats are fitted with all the amenities.

Spacious dive decks will make gearing up and entering the water easy. Plenty of room to relax or work on your suntan while we head to our dive destination.

Meals are cooked on board by our Thai chefs, you will have plenty of time to enjoy the cuisine in the dining area. Breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack will make sure you will not be hungry for a single minute.

Beverages of all kinds are available throughout the trip.

After your day of diving you will be able to take a fresh water shower. The showers are located in the rest rooms for your privacy.

After a day full of excitement at the Similan Islands the day dive boat will return to the pier around 6 pm and we will immediately transfer you back to your hotel.

However, if it is at all possible we highly recommend you arrange your schedule to take be able to board one of our liveaboard boats for the dive vacation of a lifetime.

ANITA´S REEF

The perfect dive site for a check out dive, located on the east side of islands 5 and 6, it’s a heaven for those who love the macro stuff. Gently sloping with an extensive plateau at 5 – 8 meters dropping all the way down to 25 – 30 meters.

The white sandy bottom gives a lot of luminescence to catch those amazing pictures of the reef inhabitants like Peacock Flounder, Razor Fish, Khul’s Stingrays, and Marble Snake Eels.

The highlight of this dive is a huge bommies covered in beautiful Soft Coral, glass fish and Nudibranch’s located in the southern area of the site.

From there shallow up to Japanese Gardens’ for a chance to see a Turtle.

WEST OF EDEN

One of the few dive sites located on the western side of the Similan islands and for many the best dive of the day. With a mixture of reef and granite boulders this site will delight all those who decide to explore the channels, cracks and swim-through’s. Barrel Sponges and Sea Fans abound!

Look out for the shy Ribbon Eels, Pipefish and Frogfish. In the shallows see if you can spot a Turtle enjoying his lunch!

Be aware this site is exposed to a localized phenomenon nick named the “Green Monster”, a flash thermocline that creeps in from the depths dropping the water temperature by 1 to 3 degrees.

Not to worry it doesn’t usually last more than a minute or two. Enjoy the carnage around you as the feeding begins on the plankton the “Monster” brings. read more…

EAST OF EDEN

Closed in 2010 for conservation purposes and re opened in 2013, this is a site for all levels of divers and snorkelers.

The sloping reef from 5- 30m is recovering well and contains healthy corals, deep bommies covered in Barrel Sponges, Gorgonian Fans and Soft Corals – a perfect place to find macro life such as the “ Picacho Nudibranch”.

ELEPHANT HEAD ROCK

If you’ve ever heard about the Similan Islands, then it’s certain you’ve heard about this site. Located between Islands 7 and 8, this first thing you will notice before you dive is one massive boulder rising above the surface, and next to it are another three boulders. The site is named for the largest and tallest boulder, which is said to resemble the head of an elephant. You may need to use your imagination as you look.

The site is a massive labyrinth, complete with channels, swim-through’s, and holes at every turn. Lucky for us that our exit point is always up or maybe you would end up lost amongst the towering boulders.

Good luck in the deeper areas with spotting Whitetip Reef Sharks, who tend to reside in the depths.

Also living on this site are Barracuda, Kuhl’s Stingray, Sesamoths, Nudibranch, Octopus, and the Peacock Mantis Shrimp.

Watch out for the washing machine currents that sometimes show up. Never try to fight these, as you will not win! Just go with the flow, relax, and ride them out.

CHRISTMAS POINT

This is definitely a dive site to bring your camera! With the maze of granite boulders and swim-through´s photos really capture the beauty of this site.

Ribbon eels and Orange-spotted Pipefish can be seen around the edge of this dive site as well as Napoléon Wrass and the occasional Eagle Ray. Anemones with Porcelain crabs inhabit the crevasses and Nudibranches galore can be seen crawling over the boulders.

THE FOOD ONBOARD

We proud our selves to offer the best tasting Thai cuisine on board our complete fleet. Nonetheless we offer a variety of Western dishes too during your cruise. We are able to cater Vegetarians, Vegans and on all our boats we banned the use of Monosodium Glutamate. ITINERY SIMILAN ISLANDS:

Our Day Trip boat departs from the pier at 8:15 am.

After the boats briefing we enjoy our breakfast.

Around 11:00 am we arrive with comfort and style at the Similan Islands where we conduct our first dive with our professional dive guides and right after that we will take our lunch onboard.

Around 1:30 - 2:00 pm we prepare for our second dive and we will be finished around 3:00 pm.

Estimated time of return in Taplamu pier 5:00 - 5:30 pm.

Our mini-bus will take you back to your Resort.
