Happy New Year!
We rang in the new year with many Magical Manta Rays for Manta Queen 3!
Oh yeah, we had a Whaleshark at Richelieu Rock too!!!
This young season is already proving to be really great, with so many creatures visiting us at the different dive sites that we see along the way. This trip was especially nice, with Manta Rays on two dives in a row. We had a Manta at Koh Bon Island, then went up to Koh Tachai Island and had another Manta Ray there, dancing and playing in the gentle current. Sweet!
Of course we did three dives at Richelieu Rock, where we had everything from Ornate Ghost Pipefish to a beautiful Whaleshark cruising by. Over the four days, we had so many Octopus, Cuttlefish, Turtles, even a few Sea Moths spotted at Elephant Head Rock. Add to all of that another Manta Ray at Koh Bon and a totally cool shipwreck on the last day, and it was really a great trip, as usual.
Manta Queen 3 runs a 4 day and 4 night liveaboard trip on Similan Islands and is schedule to dive the best dive sites in the North Andaman Sea. Come and join us when you're ready for some fantastic diving and good times on board. Gareth ran his now popular Square Dancing Extravaganza again, with more than a few participants learning the moves. Good fun that one was! I'm not even gonna mention the New Years Eve party on board. You just had to be there for that one!!!
I want to acknowledge all of our students this time around. Two newly certified PADI Open Water divers, Maria and Joaquin finished their course. We had Steven, Lukas, Zhou, Rui, Jin Hui, Tian Fei, Yao, Yang, Catherine, Jurgen, Marion, Yan Hua and Yu Yao complete their PADI Nitrox Course on board. They are now certified PADI Enriched Air Divers. Yan Hua, Yu Yao, Lukas and Steven did double duty, as they all also completed their PADI Advanced Open Water Course. They are now certified to go to 30 meters! Awesome! Congratulations to all.
