Manta Queen 3 moved South on day three to the island outcrops that make up Koh Haa. The water was bright blue and the visibility was excellent as the group dived the famous sites “The Chimney” and ‘The Cathedral”. One group even found some Harlequin Shrimp! During one surface interval the group was lucky enough to visit the secret lagoon just above the beach on Koh Haa Island #3.
The last two days of diving were spent around the King Cruiser, Shark Point and Anemone Reef area. There were Nurse Sharks discovered on the King Cruiser shipwreck at the bottom, near the propellers, Zebra Moray Eels at Shark Point and Tigertail Seahorses among the fan corals at Anemone Reef. The diving was breathtaking, with good visability and so many creatures to be found! The final dive of the trip was at a site called Koh Doc Mai, a beautiful wall and drift dive. Here there were more Bamboo Sharks and Tigertail Seahorses spotted.
After an amazing five days of diving, Manta Queen 3 returned to the Pier in Phuket. After lunch and a sad farewell, the group boarded the vehicles for the transfer to Khao Lak, where they stayed for another week or so before heading home again… Everyone involved absolutely can not wait to do it all over again next year!
