The Similan Dive trip not only includes the fantastic Similan Islands, where you can see everything from small macro life like Sea moths and Nudibranchs, all the way up to large schooling fish like Tuna and Trevally, in addition to the beloved Hawksbill and Green Turtles. If you are really lucky there are sometimes Black Tip and White Tip Reef Sharks cruising around, as well as Leopard Sharks, Manta Rays, and also a chance to dive with the mighty Whalesharks.
After the Similan Islands the Thailand local Dive trip then heads North and enters the Surin Island National Park; this is home to the famous Richelieu Rock. This amazing dive site has enough different types of life to keep every diver happy for multiple dives. On this rock, which is situated about one hour away from the main Surin Islands,-
you can find small Sea Horses,Ghost Pipefish, Nudibranchs, Pacific Lion fish, Pipefish, Schools of Barracudas, huge Groupers, the list goes on… and of course all divers should keep one eye into the blue on this dive site as it is also a favorite hangout for the Whalesharks! The last dive of the trip is on the Boonsung Wreck, an old tin mining dredger that acts as a protected reef and nursery for many different species. This is kind of a ‘Kindergarten’ for the fish! Huge schools of fish everywhere, and a chance for divers to compare the juveniles to the full grown adults.
A solitary island located 20 km north of Koh Bon within the tour of all Manta Queen Diving Boats and Live aboards cruising along the Similan diving Sites, Koh Tachai has magnificent white sandy Thailand Scuba & Snorkel beaches with two interesting Thailand dive sites, Southern Thailand diving Pinnacles and Scuba diving Thailand Eastern Reef.
Thailand diving Koh Tachai Pinnacle or Twin Peaks, are a pair of submerged Thailand diving pinnacles located 500 metres south of Koh Tachai and are marked by a couple of buoys in the National Marine Park Similan Islands and Surin Island
